Tim Eastgate – (Tom Petty) vocals, guitar
Tim began singing at an early age to the sounds of Gospel, Country, Blues, early Rock-n-Roll and Motown. At 17, living in San Diego, California, he was singing and songwriting in a professional capacity. As he progressed, his original/cover group Vinney Bonne, opened for bands such as Warrant, The Motels, Oingo Boingo and The Beat Farmers to name a few. He and the group Favorite Son also shared stages with Gary Puckett, Eric Burden, Frank Zappa, Maria Muldaur, No Doubt, Ratt (formerly Mickey Ratt), The Association, The Blitz Brothers, The Righteous Brothers and many more. Tim, after moving to Ohio, continued to perform in Gospel praise and worship teams, Grand Illusion a tribute to Styx and the cover band Eclipse. Now, having gathered some of our country’s finest talent, who all now reside in northeast Ohio, begins the pleasure of becoming the best Tom Petty Tribute on the planet….KING’S HIGHWAY!
Danny Vincent – guitar, backing vocals
Danny was born into a musical family…”I don’t remember anything before music, It was always part of the scene”. He watched his parents and their band practice in the living room and learned how to play the drums, then guitar, then the bass guitar. At age 11, he became the drummer for his parents country band learning everything he could along the way from the musicians who came and went. Since then, Danny has played with all the best players in the local pool of musicians. “In 2001, I joined a band called The Godz. I learned a lot about being in a band with great players. I also learned that i didn’t want to be a rock star”. Then came the tribute acts, Bob Seger, Journey, ZZ Top, Guns N Roses and now Tom Petty. “I’m sure that I’m not the best guitar player in town, but you can bet your a** that I will lay it down for you the best that I can”……Rock On!
Terry Fairfax – keyboards, backing vocals
Terry began playing piano at age 4 and gave his first public performances not long after that, playing piano and singing at school and church, in recitals and concerts. From 1982 through 1997, he performed live, wrote, arranged and recorded music throughout the United States, sharing the stage and studio with a broad range of artists, including 1970s dance hit masters LaFlavour, the world’s best Beatles tribute 1964, The Tribute, The Phil Palumbo Orchestra, Jonah Koslen and Breathless, Donnie Iris and the Cruisers producer/composer Mark Avsec, smooth jazz artists Hemisphere, Sonny Geraci (the Outsiders and Klimaxx), John Bowman (Sha Na Na’s “Bowser”), stage and screen star Carol Lawrence, Cleveland classic rockers My Old School, and many others. He also served as Music Director for the Cleveland Indians at Jacobs Field for the 1994 through 2001 baseball seasons. Terry continues to perform and record in the Cleveland area and performing music live, and in 2015 he released his first solo recording, LOVE, produced and engineered by Donny Thompson and featuring some of Northeast Ohio’s finest musical talent, including Jonah Koslen, Mark Avsec, Giovanni Mastro, Cy Sulak, Paul Wolf Christensen, Roger Hatfield, Billy Sullivan, Rich Spina, Bill March, Alan Greene, Tom Work, Rodney Psyka, Rik Williger, Van Eidom and more.
Cory Eastgate – drums, percussion
Cory was born in January, 1988 in San Diego, CA. He learned how to play drums very early in his life. At age 3, his father, Tim Eastgate, got him his first drum set. Listening to his fathers band while growing up influenced Cory to learn by ear. Cory was playing in his first band at age 12, entertaining youth at church and at school talent shows. By 14 he was in a band that his 19 year old neighbor had formed and played with them for a few years. Bouncing in and out of a few cover bands kept him interested in playing while finishing up his athletic and schoolastic career. Cory would play Sundays at church sometimes with his father and then landed the drum spot with original aggresive rock trio, Helix Reign, now known as Calven and is still with them. Always wanting to play with his father led him to the first tribute band he was able to join. Tom Petty had a lot of musical influence on Cory as did his father. Being a part of King’s Highway has been a treat for Cory. He is grateful to be in a band with such polished and professional musicians. Cory also states that, “A dream for any young man who has music in his blood is to someday share the stage with his father. I get to do that, which is a blessing.”
Allen Boggs – guitar, keyboards, backing vocals
Allen was brought up surrounded by musical influences…Dad’s oldies, Mom’s classic country, Granny’s bluegrass, but most important, Uncle Mike’s rock ‘n roll. He started learning to play instruments at a very young age and by the time he was a teenager, had started his own rock band. He began performing with a lot of the area’s best talent, playing in several local acts. In the early 2000’s, he started playing with local tributes to AC/DC and Guns N Roses. He relocated to Kansas City in 2006 and started touring full time in international tributes to Guns N Roses, Bob Seger and Bon Jovi. He’s had the opportunity to perform in 43 states, 5 other countries and has opened for countless national acts such as Ted Nugent, Joe Cocker, 38 Special, Keith Urban, Sammy Hagar, even Tom Petty himself. And that’s just to name a few.
Chris D. Hawkins – bass, backing vocals
”I’m just the bass player”
King’s Highway is the ultimate tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Recreating the sights and sounds of one of the world’s top hit makers.
